Code Red

Forgot to also let you guys know about another thing going on in our neck of the woods. Apparently we are having wildfires in the coast and are actually seeing a lot of smoke out here. It smells pretty bad outside and was very "foggy" today. We are under a code Red air quality for tomorrow and was under Code Orange initially and then Red today. It is affecting over 39.000 acres and is only 40% contained according to the latest news. The sad part is it's at Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. Apparently it was started by lightning. We don't have tv yet and so it was really weird going outside this morning and seeing all the smoke and wondering what is going on?!?!?!?

That is the most current link I found to the fires. It is scarey when you can see smoke, but remember, it travels a long way. I hope a lot of the animals in the wildlife area got out.
